STOWLINES

Terms and Conditions

Last updated: 1 November 2026

These terms apply when you create a Stowlines account and whenever you or your company use Stowlines: the platform at app.stowlines.com, the website stowlines.com, and the Stowlines Voyage Estimator apps for Android and iPhone. By ticking the box when you create an account, you accept them.

1. Who we are

Stowlines is operated by Lantern Telecom L.L.C, a company based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates ("we"). You can reach us at admin@stowlines.com.

The "customer" is the company named when the account was created. If you create an account for a company, you confirm that you are allowed to accept these terms for it.

2. Your account

3. Free estimates and free trial

A new account can price a limited number of voyages free. To go on, you start a free trial: you choose a plan and add your billing details and, where we ask for one, a payment method. Nothing is charged during the trial.

The length of the trial, the plan, its price and the date of the first payment are shown before you start, and we email a reminder before the trial ends. If you cancel before the trial ends, you are not charged. The free trial is for new customers, once for each company.

4. Subscription and payment

5. Cancelling

The person who manages the subscription can cancel at any time under Subscription & Invoices. Access then continues to the end of the free trial or of the period already paid for, and the subscription does not renew.

Amounts already paid are not refunded, unless the law requires it or we agree otherwise in writing.

6. Late payment

If an invoice is not paid when due, we remind you, and after a short grace period we may suspend access until it is paid. Access returns once the amount due is paid.

7. Estimates are estimates

Stowlines is a planning tool. Everything it shows, including sea distances, routes, transit times, port costs, tariffs, bunker prices, weather and storm information, and profit or loss, is an estimate. It is based on published tariffs, data from other suppliers and what you enter, and it can be incomplete, out of date or wrong.

8. Your data

The records you and your colleagues enter belong to the customer. You allow us to store and use them only to provide the service, and you confirm that you have the right to enter them. The Privacy Policy explains how personal data is handled and how long data is kept after a subscription ends. Save anything you need before then.

9. Fair use

You must not:

10. Our rights

The software, its methods, its compiled data, its design and the Stowlines name belong to us or to those who license them to us. A subscription gives the customer the right to use the service while it lasts. It does not transfer ownership of any of these.

11. Availability and changes to the service

We work to keep Stowlines available and accurate, but we cannot promise that it will always be available or free of errors. We may carry out maintenance, and we may change, add or remove features and data sources as the service develops.

12. Liability

As far as the law allows:

Nothing in these terms limits any liability that the law does not allow to be limited.

13. Suspending or closing an account

We may suspend or close an account if these terms are broken, if payment is overdue, or if it is needed to protect the service or other customers. Where we can, we tell you first.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The new version is published here with a new date, and we tell account administrators of significant changes by email before they apply. Using Stowlines after that means you accept them.

15. Law and contact

These terms are governed by the law of the United Arab Emirates as applied in the Emirate of Dubai, and the courts of Dubai decide any dispute. Questions: admin@stowlines.com.
